What we’re seeing across live projects
This summer, Kestrel has been running thousands of code checks on active Revit models from SD through CDs. Here are a few of the things we’re checking along the way:
- SD — Occupancy + occupant load
- Occupancy classification · occupant load · number of exits
- DD — Egress + life safety
- Travel distance · exit capacity · fire separation
- CD — Doors + accessibility
- Clear width · maneuvering clearances · door and wall ratings
Timing matters. An occupancy issue in SD may be a quick correction; carry it into CDs and it can change egress, plumbing, doors, and everything designed around it.

Kestrel ranks No. 1 among Colorado startups
Kestrel took the No. 1 spot among Colorado startups on the Q3 2026 Colorado Startups Leaderboard and ranked No. 14 among all Colorado companies founded in the past decade.
We incorporated Kestrel less than 18 months ago, so seeing the company at the top of the statewide startup ranking is a meaningful milestone for our team.
See Kestrel at Autodesk University
We’ll be at Autodesk University in Las Vegas September 15–17, showing Kestrel on live building models.
If you’ll be at AU, come find us at booth 3259.
