ArchiCheck AI is now Kestrel Labs
Kestrel Labs builds software that brings building code compliance directly into the Revit model.
ArchiCheck AI is Kestrel Labs.
We’ve updated our name to better reflect what we’re building: software that brings building code compliance directly into the design process.
Kestrel Labs is a software company focused on building code compliance in architecture. We are not affiliated with other companies that previously operated under the Kestrel Labs name.
What we do
Kestrel runs building code compliance checks directly inside the Revit model, helping architects identify issues during design instead of at plan check.
Instead of manually interpreting code and reviewing drawings after the fact, teams can evaluate compliance continuously against the BIM model itself.
Kestrel translates licensed building code data into structured logic that runs directly inside the model, with every issue tied to a specific element and cited to a code section.
What changed (and what didn’t)
The product, team, and direction remain the same. If you’re looking for ArchiCheck AI, here’s where to start:
Where this is going
As the platform has evolved, it became clear that the original name no longer captured the scope of what we’re building.
Kestrel Labs reflects a broader shift—from manual code interpretation toward real-time, model-based compliance embedded directly in the design workflow.
How building code compliance is moving into the model
Building code has historically lived outside the model.
That’s starting to change.
New systems are making it possible to evaluate compliance directly against the BIM model during design, reducing rework and making permitting more predictable.
Kestrel is part of that shift.
